Multiple Offender DUI Program

The Delaware Municipal Court started the Multiple Offender DUI Program in 2003 which was designed and developed to target multiple DUI offenders in Delaware County.

All facets of the justice system participate including, but not limited to, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, court officers, probation officers, defense attorneys, and victims.

These participants give testimony, information and education to multiple offenders on the consequences of drinking and driving a vehicle.

Judge Sunderman said, “The purpose of this program is to bring victims, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, attorneys, and counselors together to discuss the impact impaired drivers have on the community, and to better educate those who have been convicted of a DUI offense. All multiple DUI offenders will be required to attend this program as a part of their sentence.”
